# Inkspired vs Evo Reading

The clearest difference is rating: Inkspired at 4.7 against Evo Reading's 2.0. Inkspired also leads on ratings volume (606 vs 4). Evo Reading's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 51%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inkspired sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Evo Reading sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inkspired holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Inkspired has 606 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Inkspired's written reviews are positive against 67% of Evo Reading's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 19, 2026 respectively.
