# HBN Smart vs TrickleStar App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TrickleStar App at 100% against HBN Smart's 51%. TrickleStar App also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.2). HBN Smart's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (3.2K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HBN Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HBN Smart has 3.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of HBN Smart's written reviews are positive against 100% of TrickleStar App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HBN Smart ships an update every 8 months, TrickleStar App every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
