# OMCTV vs HistoryFix

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: OMCTV at none against HistoryFix's 2. OMCTV also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). HistoryFix's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HistoryFix sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. OMCTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

OMCTV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HistoryFix has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OMCTV ships an update every 13 months, HistoryFix every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
