# Farmer Journal vs Party_Planner

The clearest difference is update cadence: Party_Planner at every 6 weeks against Farmer Journal's every 8 months. Party_Planner also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Farmer Journal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Party_Planner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Farmer Journal ships an update every 8 months, Party_Planner every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
