# Slash Royal vs Balls Release

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Slash Royal at 52% against Balls Release's 0%. Slash Royal also leads on ratings volume (677 vs 8) and update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months). Balls Release's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slash Royal sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Balls Release sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Balls Release holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slash Royal has 677 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Slash Royal's written reviews are positive against 0% of Balls Release's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Slash Royal ships an update monthly, Balls Release every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
