# Ball Sort vs Markov

The clearest difference is update cadence: Markov at every 4 days against Ball Sort's every 2 months. Markov also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Ball Sort's advantage is ratings volume (272 vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ball Sort sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Markov sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Markov holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ball Sort has 272 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ball Sort ships an update every 2 months, Markov every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
