# Notesnook vs Notes+

The clearest difference is rating: Notesnook at 4.7 against Notes+'s 3.2. Notesnook also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (692 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notesnook sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Notes+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notesnook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notesnook has 692 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notesnook ships an update every 8 days, Notes+ every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
