# Notesnook vs BreadCrumb

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notesnook at every 8 days against BreadCrumb's every 2 months. Notesnook also leads on ratings volume (684 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). BreadCrumb's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notesnook sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and BreadCrumb sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BreadCrumb holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notesnook has 684 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notesnook ships an update every 8 days, BreadCrumb every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
