After a short set-up, you only need to open the app when you want to see details of your travels. The app automatically records driving & walking tracks, distances etc and trip details with no need for any app entry. At any time you can: • See a map of where you’ve been today, for any day, a selection of days, or a trip. • See a list of every place you’ve stopped and for how long on any day. • See a daily graph of your driving distance and time, and walking steps and distance. • See a log listing daily travel details (your overnight address, number of nights there, driving time, driving distance etc.) for selected days, all days or all days on a trip. Also has buttons for each day to show a map or stops during that day or photos taken that day. • See a log of all your trips with trip details (driving time, driving distance etc.). Also has buttons for each trip to show a map or a log of days for that trip. • See a summary spreadsheet for any trip where for every overnight place it shows: the address, arrival date, departure date, number of nights spent there, distance from last place and 12 other details. After you enter a home address the app will automatically start recording a trip whenever you spend a night away from home. The app achieves the ideal balance between accuracy and low battery drain for practical non-stop GPS tracking. Although the app has been optimised to achieve low battery drain it utilises location background mode which (though unlikely) could dramatically decrease battery life.

Turn every day into a clear map of your life. Path is a privacy-first, all-day personal timeline. It records every trip out and every stay in the background, with nothing to start or stop. Sensor fusion filters out GPS drift and noise, so your routes match the way you went. Automatic Recording, Always On • Smart segmentation: Each day splits into stays, moves, and gaps on its own. No more manual check-ins. • Transport mode detection: Path recognizes walking, running, cycling, driving, and many kinds of public transport, and learns your habits from your corrections. • Battery-conscious design: Sensor use adapts to how you move, balancing recording accuracy and battery life. A Clear Timeline and Map • Card timeline: See your moves, the places you visited, and how long you stayed at a glance. • Map styles: Routes take the color of their transport mode, and stay markers show place category icons. • Frequent places: Edit names and boundaries, and turn a string of coordinates into "Home" or "Office". Trips and Footprints • Trips: Path detects trips away from home, lets you relive each one on a 3D globe, and creates a boarding-pass trip card. • Footprints: Light up the continents, countries and regions, and cities you have visited. Each country and region gets its own passport page and entry stamp. • Life Chapters: Divide your life into chapters by the cities you lived in, with a city timeline, key statistics, and frequent routes for each chapter. Milestones and Share Cards • Milestones: Earn medals for new places, walking and running distance, and recording streaks. • Share Cards: Turn a day, a trip, a milestone, or the globe view into a card to share with friends. Photos on the Map • Photos and videos: See the photos and videos you allow on your map and timeline, so every trip has pictures. • Smart grouping: Nearby photos group together to keep the map clean. Historical Weather • Historical weather: Relive the weather along your journeys, from clear skies and rain to snow and thunderstorms. • Map effects: As you browse your timeline, the map shows the weather of that moment. Health Trends and Insights • Statistics: Track steps, distance, and calories, and set a daily goal. • Apple Health: Connect Apple Health to see resting heart rate and sleep next to your day. • Insights: Weekly, monthly, and yearly views reveal changes in your activity radius, your most visited places, and your farthest journeys.
