# Themes © vs Widgetal

The clearest difference is rating: Themes © at 4.7 against Widgetal's 4.4. Themes © also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Widgetal's advantage is ratings volume (589 vs 71). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Themes © sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Widgetal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Themes © holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgetal has 589 ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Themes © ships an update every 5 weeks, Widgetal every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
