# Notes Pro vs Nested Folder Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nested Folder Notes at every 3 weeks against Notes Pro's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notes Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Nested Folder Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes Pro ships an update every 2 months, Nested Folder Notes every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
