# ELHusseiny USMLE Program vs USMLE Mastery Step 1 Exam Prep

The clearest difference is rating: USMLE Mastery Step 1 Exam Prep at 5.0 against ELHusseiny USMLE Program's 4.6. ELHusseiny USMLE Program's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (19 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ELHusseiny USMLE Program sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and USMLE Mastery Step 1 Exam Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

USMLE Mastery Step 1 Exam Prep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ELHusseiny USMLE Program has 19 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
