# McClockface vs ms clock

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ms clock at none against McClockface's 8. ms clock also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). McClockface's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. McClockface sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per 7 days. ms clock asks for nothing beyond the download.

McClockface holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: McClockface has 357 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of McClockface's written reviews are positive against 80% of ms clock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

McClockface ships an update every 3 weeks, ms clock every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
