# Kitoons vs Rainbocorns

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Kitoons at none against Rainbocorns's 3. Kitoons also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 19 months). Rainbocorns's advantage is review sentiment (95% vs 63%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rainbocorns sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Kitoons asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kitoons holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kitoons has 110 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Kitoons's written reviews are positive against 95% of Rainbocorns's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kitoons ships an update every 2 months, Rainbocorns every 19 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
