# Whiteboard vs locksmith widget

The clearest difference is rating: locksmith widget at 4.8 against Whiteboard's 4.2. locksmith widget also leads on ratings volume (58K vs 465) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Whiteboard's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 34%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whiteboard sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and locksmith widget sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

locksmith widget holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: locksmith widget has 58K ratings behind it against 465, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Whiteboard's written reviews are positive against 34% of locksmith widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Whiteboard ships an update fortnightly, locksmith widget weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
