# ArtPics vs Anime Filter

The clearest difference is price: Anime Filter at Free against ArtPics's $0.99. Anime Filter also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.2) and ads (none vs shown). ArtPics's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 29%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Anime Filter is free to download; ArtPics costs $0.99 up front. ArtPics sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Anime Filter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Filter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Filter has 1.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of ArtPics's written reviews are positive against 29% of Anime Filter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ArtPics ships an update every 4 weeks, Anime Filter every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
