# Poppo Live vs BonChat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BonChat at none against Poppo Live's 10. BonChat also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.3). Poppo Live's advantage is review sentiment (70% vs 56%) and chart position (#27 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poppo Live sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. BonChat asks for nothing beyond the download.

BonChat holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BonChat has 60K ratings behind it against 2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Poppo Live's written reviews are positive against 56% of BonChat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Poppo Live ships an update fortnightly, BonChat every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
