# Poppo Live vs Friendster

The clearest difference is ads: Friendster at none against Poppo Live's shown. Friendster also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). Poppo Live's advantage is ratings volume (2K vs 48) and chart position (#26 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poppo Live sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Friendster sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poppo Live holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Poppo Live has 2K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Poppo Live's written reviews are positive against 63% of Friendster's.

Poppo Live ships an update fortnightly, Friendster every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
