# Principal Task vs Flows

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flows at weekly against Principal Task's every 3 months. Flows also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Principal Task sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Flows sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Principal Task against 4.9 for Flows. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flows has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Principal Task ships an update every 3 months, Flows weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
