# 7 Tunes vs Coptic Scholar

The clearest difference is rating: 7 Tunes at 4.7 against Coptic Scholar's 4.0. 7 Tunes also leads on ratings volume (150 vs 1). Coptic Scholar's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 7 Tunes sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Coptic Scholar asks for nothing beyond the download.

7 Tunes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 7 Tunes has 150 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of 7 Tunes's written reviews are positive against 100% of Coptic Scholar's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

7 Tunes ships an update every 3 months, Coptic Scholar every 5 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
