# Mech Boa vs Diamond Diggers

The clearest difference is rating: Mech Boa at 3.7 against Diamond Diggers's 3.0. Mech Boa also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Diamond Diggers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mech Boa asks for nothing beyond the download.

Mech Boa holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mech Boa has 149 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Mech Boa's written reviews are positive against 33% of Diamond Diggers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mech Boa ships an update every 5 days, Diamond Diggers every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
