# LUX Control vs HomesRunner

The clearest difference is update cadence: HomesRunner at weekly against LUX Control's every 6 months. HomesRunner also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). LUX Control's advantage is ratings volume (73 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for LUX Control against 5.0 for HomesRunner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LUX Control has 73 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LUX Control ships an update every 6 months, HomesRunner weekly. Both last shipped on October 3, 2026.
