# Auto Monkey vs The NIEA

The clearest difference is rating: The NIEA at 5.0 against Auto Monkey's 3.4. The NIEA also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Auto Monkey's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The NIEA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auto Monkey has 36 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Auto Monkey ships an update every 3 weeks, The NIEA every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
