# Neighbored vs Smashviews

The clearest difference is ads: Smashviews at none against Neighbored's shown. Smashviews also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Neighbored's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 5). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Neighbored against 5.0 for Smashviews. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Neighbored has 31 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Neighbored ships an update every 2 months, Smashviews every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
