# Next Icon vs Icon Changer

The clearest difference is rating: Next Icon at 4.8 against Icon Changer's 3.5. Next Icon also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (467 vs 2). Icon Changer's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Icon Changer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Next Icon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Next Icon holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Next Icon has 467 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 93% of Next Icon's written reviews are positive against 100% of Icon Changer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Next Icon ships an update every 2 weeks, Icon Changer every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
