# Current Debate vs Ultimate Metallica

The clearest difference is rating: Current Debate at 5.0 against Ultimate Metallica's 4.5. Current Debate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Ultimate Metallica's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Current Debate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Metallica has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Current Debate ships an update every 7 months, Ultimate Metallica every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
