# RemNote vs ZapCards

The clearest difference is rating: RemNote at 4.8 against ZapCards's 4.3. RemNote also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RemNote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and ZapCards sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RemNote holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RemNote has 1.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RemNote ships an update every 3 days, ZapCards monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
