# 4k Live Wallpapers vs Depth Effect Wallpapers

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 4k Live Wallpapers at 67% against Depth Effect Wallpapers's 25%. 4k Live Wallpapers also leads on ratings volume (567 vs 96). Depth Effect Wallpapers's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 4k Live Wallpapers sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Depth Effect Wallpapers sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Depth Effect Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 4k Live Wallpapers has 567 ratings behind it against 96, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of 4k Live Wallpapers's written reviews are positive against 25% of Depth Effect Wallpapers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

4k Live Wallpapers ships an update every 2 months, Depth Effect Wallpapers every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
