# Proxess Mobile Keys vs NIPSCO

The clearest difference is rating: NIPSCO at 4.8 against Proxess Mobile Keys's 3.5. NIPSCO also leads on ratings volume (26K vs 21) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.6). Proxess Mobile Keys's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 31%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NIPSCO holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NIPSCO has 26K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Proxess Mobile Keys's written reviews are positive against 31% of NIPSCO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
