# Olyflix vs FirstShows

The clearest difference is ads: Olyflix at none against FirstShows's shown. Olyflix also leads on iOS requirement (11.2 vs 13.0). FirstShows's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Olyflix ships an update every 4 weeks, FirstShows every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
