# Firefighting Exam Prep vs EMR Mastery

The clearest difference is rating: EMR Mastery at 5.0 against Firefighting Exam Prep's 2.7. EMR Mastery also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Firefighting Exam Prep's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (30 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Firefighting Exam Prep sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and EMR Mastery sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EMR Mastery holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Firefighting Exam Prep has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Firefighting Exam Prep ships an update every 2 months, EMR Mastery fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
