# Data Transfer vs Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere at 67% against Data Transfer's 19%. Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). Data Transfer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (3.9 vs 3.7). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Data Transfer sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Data Transfer holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Data Transfer has 1.1K ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Data Transfer's written reviews are positive against 67% of Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Data Transfer ships an update every 3 weeks, Snapdrop Share Files Anywhere every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
