# Wix vs Motion

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Wix at none against Motion's 2. Wix also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.1). Motion's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 19%). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Motion sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $44.99 per month. Wix asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wix holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wix has 17K ratings behind it against 1.9K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of Wix's written reviews are positive against 42% of Motion's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wix ships an update every 10 days, Motion weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
