# Wix vs The Aster

The clearest difference is rating: The Aster at 5.0 against Wix's 4.6. The Aster also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Wix's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The Aster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wix has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wix ships an update every 9 days, The Aster every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
