# Wix vs Ruby

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ruby at 60% against Wix's 19%. Ruby also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Wix's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (17K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ruby sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.79 per month. Wix asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ruby holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wix has 17K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 19% of Wix's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ruby's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
