# Wix vs NameTime

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Wix at none against NameTime's 1. Wix also leads on ratings volume (17K vs 3) and chart position (#147 vs unranked). NameTime's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NameTime sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per year. Wix asks for nothing beyond the download.

NameTime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wix has 17K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Wix ships an update every 9 days, NameTime every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
