# Fast VPN vs Secure VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Fast VPN at 4.8 against Secure VPN's 4.4. Fast VPN also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). Secure VPN's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and review sentiment (82% vs 72%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fast VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Secure VPN sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fast VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 209 and 409 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Fast VPN's written reviews are positive against 82% of Secure VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Fast VPN ships an update every 3 weeks, Secure VPN weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
