# MyFOH vs Virgil

The clearest difference is rating: Virgil at 5.0 against MyFOH's 3.3. Virgil also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). MyFOH's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Virgil holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyFOH has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MyFOH ships an update every 3 months, Virgil every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
