# uScan vs Pro Scanner

The clearest difference is ads: Pro Scanner at none against uScan's shown. uScan's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 26) and chart position (#190 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. uScan sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Pro Scanner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: uScan has 15K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
