# Passwords for Nextcloud vs InventoryProof

The clearest difference is rating: InventoryProof at 5.0 against Passwords for Nextcloud's 4.1. Passwords for Nextcloud's advantage is ratings volume (21 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.5 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Passwords for Nextcloud sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and InventoryProof sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InventoryProof holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Passwords for Nextcloud has 21 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
