# Epic DeFence vs Dig Deep

The clearest difference is rating: Dig Deep at 4.7 against Epic DeFence's 3.0. Dig Deep also leads on ratings volume (112K vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months). Epic DeFence's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 13). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dig Deep sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Epic DeFence asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dig Deep holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dig Deep has 112K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Epic DeFence ships an update every 7 months, Dig Deep every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
