# D vs PrivateLinks VPN PRO

The clearest difference is rating: PrivateLinks VPN PRO at 4.3 against D's 2.8. PrivateLinks VPN PRO also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (168 vs 12). D's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (44% vs 29%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. D sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and PrivateLinks VPN PRO sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrivateLinks VPN PRO holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PrivateLinks VPN PRO has 168 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of D's written reviews are positive against 29% of PrivateLinks VPN PRO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

D ships an update every 3 weeks, PrivateLinks VPN PRO every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
