# D vs GhostID VPN

The clearest difference is review sentiment: D at 44% against GhostID VPN's 0%. D also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 9 months) and iOS requirement (12.1 vs 14.0). GhostID VPN's advantage is rating (3.7 vs 2.8) and monetization model (freemium vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. D sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and GhostID VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GhostID VPN holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 40 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of D's written reviews are positive against 0% of GhostID VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

D ships an update every 3 weeks, GhostID VPN every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
