# MonthDay vs Digital Time

The clearest difference is rating: MonthDay at 5.0 against Digital Time's 2.9. MonthDay also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (50% vs 36%). Digital Time's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (80 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Digital Time sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. MonthDay asks for nothing beyond the download.

MonthDay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Digital Time has 80 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of MonthDay's written reviews are positive against 36% of Digital Time's.

MonthDay ships an update every 6 months, Digital Time every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
