# Photronium vs Quantum Mechanics +

The clearest difference is update cadence: Quantum Mechanics + at daily against Photronium's monthly. Quantum Mechanics + also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Photronium's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Photronium sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Quantum Mechanics + sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Photronium holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 10 and 4 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Photronium ships an update monthly, Quantum Mechanics + daily. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
