# Forward vs Execute

The clearest difference is update cadence: Execute at every 5 days against Forward's fortnightly. Forward's advantage is device support (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forward sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Execute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Execute holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Forward's written reviews are positive against 73% of Execute's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Forward ships an update fortnightly, Execute every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
