# Forward vs Recall

The clearest difference is device support: Forward at 4 against Recall's 1. Forward also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forward sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and Recall sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forward ships an update fortnightly, Recall every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on June 5, 2026 and September 8, 2026 respectively.
