# Enthuziastic vs SpellHive

The clearest difference is rating: SpellHive at 5.0 against Enthuziastic's 4.3. SpellHive also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Enthuziastic's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SpellHive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Enthuziastic has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Enthuziastic ships an update fortnightly, SpellHive weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
