# RPD vs Letterlike

The clearest difference is price: RPD at Free against Letterlike's $4.99. RPD also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Letterlike's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

RPD is free to download; Letterlike costs $4.99 up front. RPD sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Letterlike asks for nothing beyond the download.

RPD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Letterlike has 122 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of RPD's written reviews are positive against 89% of Letterlike's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RPD ships an update every 9 days, Letterlike every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
