# PureLibro vs Ereader

The clearest difference is rating: Ereader at 5.0 against PureLibro's 4.6. PureLibro's advantage is ratings volume (362 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PureLibro sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Ereader sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ereader holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureLibro has 362 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PureLibro ships an update every 10 days, Ereader fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
